Modernizing a Legacy Network for a Growing Freight Carrier
The Challenge
A regional logistics firm was experiencing daily server crashes and Wi-Fi dead zones in their 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse. Their outdated Cat5 cabling and aging desktop hardware were causing severe bottlenecks in inventory tracking, leading to delayed shipments.
Our Solution
ITpros360 conducted a full site survey and completely overhauled their infrastructure over a single weekend to minimize downtime. We deployed enterprise-grade Cisco access points for wall-to-wall warehouse coverage, upgraded all backbone cabling to Cat6A, and replaced aging workstations with durable, high-performance Dell Optiplex units. We also instituted a new pfSense firewall to secure their tracking data.
The Result
- 100% elimination of wireless dead zones in the warehouse.
- 40% increase in inventory scanning speed.
- Zero unplanned network downtime since implementation.
